I am a big fan of making non-dairy milks at home. I previously posted an easy recipe for DIY Coconut Milk, and here is a super easy recipe for Cashew Milk:
1 cup Raw Cashews
2 + 4 cups Filtered Water
Soak cashews in 2 cups of filtered water for about 2 hours or as long as overnight.
Strain and rinse cashews; discard soaking water.
Add cashews and 3 - 4 cups of fresh filtered water to a blender.
Blend for 5 minutes.
Pour (don't strain) into a glass jar, cover and refrigerate (lasts ~ 3 - 5 days).
Enjoy in your smoothie, over cereal/granola, with overnight oats, etc.
Add a date for sweetness.
Include cinnamon, vanilla, raw cacao, turmeric, cardamom, etc.
