Nutrition Consultant and Integrative Health Coach ~
I have always been a type A kind of girl who tends to analyze everything in search of answers. Maybe because of this trait, I also love science and research and ended up studying Biology at UC Davis, graduating with honors and pursuing a career in the Biotechnology industry. I worked in the lab at the bench for a bit and then spent the majority of my career in clinical research studying therapies for rare genetic diseases, and was published on two of the studies I worked on. I loved my career, but had a challenging time finding that work/life balance...
After many years of various health challenges (from cancer to autoimmune conditions to many things in between) , I started researching functional approaches to wellness, and focused on nutrition and lifestyle modifications that have really made a difference with my own health and include things like eating whole foods (not refined/processed foods), exploring my own triggers, learning how to manage my stress, getting enough sleep, etc. I decided to dive deeper into holistic nutrition and enrolled in the 18 month program at Bauman College to further my education for my own benefit, and to explore a new career as a Nutrition Consultant (NC). After completing the NC program, I sat for and passed the holistic nutrition board exam. Throughout this whole process, I couldn't help think that if I had the opportunity to meet with an NC back in my 20s, I may have been able to take control of my health and take steps to positively alter the course of my health history. I am committed to continuing my research and exploration and to ultimately share what I have learned to help support others on their journeys towards health and wellness.
The "liv" in liv rejuvenated is based on my daughter’s nickname, as she provided me with the initial inspiration and spark several years ago to regain my health, and she ultimately inspires me every day to continue this path for myself and to help support others on their journeys.
